27 million slaves

Becky and I were honored last night to gather with the leadership of Pearl City Church in Hyderabad, India. It was a great time of worship and fellowship.

We sat down and watched a short promo video produced by the International Justice Mission on the global slave trade.

I didn't know. 27 million slaves, 15 million in India alone.

In today's world this is just WRONG. Our church is connected with friends in Nepal who are rescuing young girls from this evil. They provide a half-way house, share the Good News, provide skill training and a chance to re-start their lives, but we should figure out how to do more.

What are you doing to help stop slavery?

Bethany Hoang, Ed Program Manager from Wash DC IJM spoke to our YWAM DTS about the issues of injustice.

Drew & I read IJM Founder, Gary Haugen's book 'Good News About Injustice'. We visited the Thailand office in CM and have stayed connected to the mission through intercession and giving.

Yes, we'd like to do more to make a difference.
